The Watson Chapel School Board voted to make several new hires during Thursday night’s meeting, however, a full list of hires was not immediately made available following the meeting. Principals from Coleman, Watson Chapel Jr. High, and Watson Chapel High School were given an opportunity during the meeting to provide an update on their respective campuses, and also how their school is progressing this summer.

Principal Vincent provided input on the transition of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to L.L. Owens Elementary.

 

 

Superintendent Wilson spoke about the role of Solution Tree, an organization geared towards professional development which has aided WCSD in improving test scores and learning amongst teachers for the last three years.

Construction and installation projects are underway for Coleman, WCJH, WCHS. A few projects that were discussed in the meeting were: An asphalt project in front of the 3rd and 4th grade building at Coleman, asbestos removal project is underway, and also the demolition of Watson Chapel High School.
