On Monday, the Watson Chapel School Board voted to name Tom Wilson, who has been the acting superintendent as the permanent one, removing the interim tag and giving him a two-year contract.

Alan Frazier, who is a member of that board said on the Oldies 1013 morning show Tuesday that when the board went into executive session, current president Sandra Boone asked Wilson to leave the room and then brought up the subject.

Voters in the district previously approved a millage increase that will allow the district to construct a new high school and Frazier was asked how long it will be before construction starts.
