SeArk College softball coach Belinda Hendrix shares her goals for her program

SeArk College recently announced the hiring of Belinda Hendrix as the first-ever Women’s Softball Head Coach.

SeArk College said in a press release that  Hendrix is a highly successful coach with a proven track record of developing student-athletes both on and off the field. She is a strong recruiter, motivator, and communicator with an outstanding win/loss record.

Hendrix brings an impressive set of accomplishments to the SEARK program, including leading Chipola College to three National Championships in 2007, 2015, and 2019.

Hendrix spoke with Deltaplex News to share what made her decide to come to Pine Bluff to help start the softball program at SeArk College.

Hendrix said that she agrees that there is a lot of softball talent in Pine Bluff and the surrounding areas, and she hopes to keep some of that talent at home.

She also stated that she hopes to form a relationship with the UAPB softball staff in order for both programs to be able to help each other.

Hendrix spoke about some of the first things she would like to accomplish once she gets to work full time at SeArk College.

She also shared what she will be looking for out on the recruiting trail.

Hendrix also touched on what she would like to see happen in the first three years of the program.
