A fourth suspect has been arrested as police continue their investigation into the shooting death of a Pine Bluff teenager July 15.

Marshawn Jones, 17, was taken into custody Sunday after police learned his name through interviews with others involved in the incident which began when police were sent to Greenway Drive at just after 4 a.m. in response to a reported prowler who might have been shot. They found Archillias Glover, 17, with a gunshot wound to the thigh and he was taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital for treatment.

During a court hearing Thursday, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel described what else police found.

That victim was identified as Damien Pierson, 16.

Detective Corey Wilfong reported that investigators were told about Jones’ possible involvement and also that Jones had recorded a rap song about shooting Glover and his friend on East Lake Drive.

Jones will be held without bond after Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney ruled Thursday prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with capital murder, first-degree battery, minor in possession of a firearm and engaging in violent criminal gang activity.

Three other suspects, Ta-Couri McKinzie, 17, Cylon Bead, 17, and Morgan Leon, 17, are all in custody and being held on similar charges.
