A $15,000 cash only bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man who threatened members of his family with a box cutter.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Richard Baker, 45, with aggravated assault on a family or household member.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Mike Merritt, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said on Saturday at 9:27 a.m., police were sent to an address on West 27th Avenue in response to a reported armed disturbance.

Merritt reported that Baker was taken to the adult jail but was not questioned because he asked for an attorney.

Akel said Baker has several prior felony convictions and is currently out on bond on a pending case and prosecutors will file a motion to revoke that bond.

Baker was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court May 29.
