A $50k bond was set for a Pine Bluff man after high speed chase

A Pine Bluff man with multiple prior felony convictions was arrested Sunday after he was involved in a high speed chase with White Hall Police.

Dave Winston was taken into custody after the chase ended when police boxed the vehicle Winston was driving in, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said during a court hearing Monday.

Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Sgt. Clayton Cantrell, McGriff said at 9:25 p.m., a White Hall Officer saw Winston behind the wheel of a vehicle with no license plate in the parking lot of the Big Red Travel Plaza at 8109 Sheridan Road. The officer knew Winston had a suspended driver’s license.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $50,000 cash only bond for Winston after ruling prosecutors Have probable cause to charge him with felony fleeing. He was told to come back to court Feb. 16.
