A $10,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend Thursday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Carmen Patterson with second-degree domestic battery.

Rading from an affidavit from Detective Sgt. Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Thursday morning, police were sent to a reported stabbing at a residence on University Avenue.

West said when Patteson was interviewed, she said she and the victim had been arguing and he was holding her down. She said she did not mean to cut him but admitted making the statement that she was going to cut his tires. She also said she was the one who called the police.

Patterson was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Feb. 15.
