A Louisiana man was arrested Tuesday after he was allegedly involved in an armed disturbance.

Jacolby Hawkins, 26, of Bastrop, La., was taken into custody after police responded to the Quality Inn on Pines Mall Drive at 6:15 p.m.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Lt. Derric Neal during a court hearing Thursday, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel explained the allegation against Hawkins.

Both men were taken to the Detective Office where they gave statements.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for Hawkins after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with breaking or entering and aggravated assault.

He was told to come back to court May 15.
