A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of hitting another man during an altercation last week.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Todd Mabry, 28, with second-degree battery.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Sept. 22, police were sent to the administration building at Watson Chapel School in response to a reported battery.

Mabry was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled and told to come back to court Nov. 1. He said he would hire his own attorney.
