A Pine Bluff man was arrested after allegedly grabbing and leaving bruises on his 75-year-old girlfriend.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson stated that officers received a call on June 10th at 4:30 pm in reference to a domestic disturbance allegedly involving 43-year-old Dave Winson.

Carson reported what the victim Cherri Houston told officers.

Winston has a criminal history and was placed on strict compliance for probation in a theft of property case in November 2022. Because of that, the state requested a $25,000 secured bond and no contact order for the victim.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney granted the state’s request and ruled that prosecutors have probable cause to charge Winston with 2nd-degree Domestic Battery.

Winston was told to return to court on July 18th and the public defenders were appointed to represent Winston.
