A $5,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of choking his pregnant girlfriend and pushing on her stomach.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jamisoun Jones, 19, with second-degree domestic battery and aggravated assault on a family or household member.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Chris Wieland, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said on Sunday at 8:21 p.m., police were sent to Jefferson Regional Hospital in reference to a battery report.

Jones was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court June 5.
