$2,500 bond set for Pine Bluff woman after being arrested for attempting to cash a fraudulent check

A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Friday after she attempted to cash a fraudulent check.

Karrie Henley, 45, was taken into custody after police were sent to Simmons Bank on West 28th Avenue at 2:56 p.m.

During a court hearing Monday, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Karres Manning explained the allegation against Henley.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $2,500 bond for Henley after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with forgery. She was told to come back to court Dec. 8.
