A Pine Bluff man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly broke into a garage and stole various items.

Robert Wesley, 75, was taken into custody after police responded to a reported burglary on Rockwood Drive.

During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West while police were enroute to the call, they received information from the victim that the suspect had loaded items into a van and left and the officer recalled seeing a van as he arrived.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $2,500 bond for Wesley after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with breaking or entering. He said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court Dec. 11.
