A $2,500 bond was set Tuesday for a Jefferson County woman accused of hitting an elderly man with her fist during an altercation Sunday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kelby Bailey, 39, with second-degree domestic battery.

Reading from an affidavit by Pine Bluff Police Detective Chris Wieland, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West explained the allegation against Bailey.

Bailey was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Dec. 19.
