A $15,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Jefferson County woman accused of stabbing he husband during an altercation Sunday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Brandy Davis, 43, with second-degree domestic battery.

Reading from an affidavit by Sheriff’s Investigator Michael Musgrove, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at about 2 p.m. Sunday, deputies were sent to a house on Hardin-Reed Road in White Hall in response to a reported stabbing.

Akel told the court that Davis has prior convictions for second-degree battery in 2002, robbery in 2005 and is currently on probation on charges of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

She was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Oct. 20.
