A $15,000 bond was set Wednesday for an Oklahoma man accused of being involved in a high-speed chase with State Troopers Tuesday afternoon.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Casey Register, 21, with fleeing in a vehicle causing danger.

Reading from an affidavit by State Police Sgt. Jeff Preston, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at about 2:30 p.m., state police dispatch reported that a silver passenger vehicle was traveling south on I-530 near mile marker 30 on the shoulder of the highway.

Akel said the vehicle driven by Register was weaving in and out of traffic and a second trooper joined the pursuit at mile marker 39.

In addition to the felony allegation, Register was cited for misdemeanor reckless driving and improper passing. He said he would hire his own attorney.
