A $1,500 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of threatening the mother of his child with a knife.’

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Patrick Dillard, 45, with aggravated assault.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King said police were sent to Super One Foods at 5805 Dollarway Road Sunday in response to a reported armed disturbance and when they arrived found a female holding a knife.

Detective Keith banks reported that offices located Dillard and when he was questioned, he said the female was the mother of his child and the two had broken up on April 12. He said he had come to Pine Bluff to visit his child and denied threatening her or having a knife.

King said Dillard also said he was the one who had called 911 and asked police to come to the store and Banks confirmed that Dillard had been the only one to call.

Dillard said he would hire his own attorney and was told to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
