A $10,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man currently on parole who is accused of breaking into a store on Olive Street Sunday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Terry Pennister, 55, with commercial burglary.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Mike Merritt, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said police responded to Dollar General at 3100 S. Olive St., in response to an alarm call.

Alexander said Pennister has an extensive criminal history of similar offenses. He was told to come back to court Nov. 9.
