A Jefferson County man was arrested Sunday following an investigation into allegations he had explicit contact with what he believed was a child.

Shane Bagwell, 52, of Humphey was taken into custody after a deputy was sent to Humphrey at 2:06 p.m. in response to a report.

Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel told the court what Investigator Michael Musgrove said in an affidavit.

Akel said Bagwell has no prior convictions or pending charges.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Bagwell Tuesday after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with sexual indecency with a child. He was told to come back to court Oct. 20th.
