A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly pointed a gun at another person while driving on Interstate 530.

Danielle Johnson, 40, was taken into custody after an Arkansas State Trooper stopped the vehicle Johnson was driving on the Martha Mitchell Expressway.

During a court hearing Thursday, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said that about 8:30 a.m., State Police Dispatch put out a general broadcast about a road rage incident on I-530. The victim reported that the driver of a white Tahoe had pointed a gun at her while she was attempting to pass.

Carson then read from an affidavit by Trooper Markeith Neal who was on the expressway.

Neal also reported that the victim said the gun she saw was black.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $100,000 bond for Johnson after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with possession of a controlled substance and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Johnson said she would hire her own attorney and was told to come back to court Dec. 15.
