A $100,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of causing injuries to his wife and their child Sunday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Joshua Sanders, 24, with first-degree domestic battery, second-degree domestic battery and aggravated assault on a family or household member.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Steven Rucker, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at about 4 p.m. Sunday, police were given a phone number to contact a person about an information report.

Akel said Rucker interviewed the victim on Monday at Children’s Hospital where the baby had been treated and had been released.

When Sanders was questioned, he denied any involvement in the incident.

Sanders was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Nov. 29. He said he would hire his own attorney.
