UPDATE:

Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley has identified Wednesday night’s homicide victim as 25-year-old Jordan Shaw of Pine Bluff.

Shaw was pronounced deceased at 9:15 p.m. at the scene by Deputy Coroner Eric Belcher.

ORIGINAL STORY: 

The Pine Bluff Police Department is in the early stages of a homicide investigation following a Wednesday night shooting that left one adult male dead.

At about 8:30 pm officers responded to a home in the 3100 block of South Virginia Street in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival they located a vehicle in the driveway that was damaged by gunfire. A 25-year-old male shooting victim was located between the car and the home. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County Coroner.  

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of family.

The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.

The investigation is in the early stages and there is no suspect information or motive at this time, according to the Pine Bluff Police Department.
