UAPB’s Kayvon Britten Named SWAC Offensive Player Of The Week

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions sophomore running back Kayvon Britten was honored for his performance against Alabama A&M Sunday evening at Simmons Bank Field.

Britten was named SWAC Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference Monday.

Britten rushed for 277 yards on 32 carries to go along with four rushing touchdowns during UAPB’s contest against Alabama A&M.

He currently leads the conference in total rushing yards (754), rushing touchdowns (12), and ranks second in average yards per game (107.7). This also marks the second time Britten has rushed for over 225 yards in a single game this season.

The Golden Lions will be back in action on October 29 as they travel to Tallahassee, Florida to take on Florida A&M.
