UAPB Men’s Golf Selection Show Scheduled for Wednesday

UAPB Golf Selection Show

PINE BLUFF, AR. – The University of Arkansas Pine Bluff Men’s Golf team will find out their postseason destination during the NCAA Selection show on Wednesday, May 1, at noon. The team will gather in the STEM Building conference room on the UAPB campus to watch the show together. Alumni and supporters are welcome to attend the event, which will feature a mixer before the show begins.

Coach Totten and his staff are heading to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year. He and his staff has done an incredible job of taking the program to the next level, winning the SWAC Championship four times, claiming both the SWAC Fall and Spring Championships in 2023 and 2024, and earning five consecutive Coach of the Year awards.

Freshman Jose Berenguel was named Low Medalist, Freshman of the Year, and All-SWAC First Team. This marks the second consecutive year that the Golden Lions have won two of the highest individual awards. Sophomore Isamael Garcia won his second consecutive All-SWAC First Team award, and freshman Jules De Reu won his first All-SWAC Second Team award.

Seventy-two teams and 36 individuals not on those teams will compete May 13-15 at six sites across the nation. Those venues include the University Texas Golf Club in Austin, TX (hosted by the University of Texas), University Club in Baton Rouge, LA (hosted by Louisiana University), UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, NC (hosted by the University of North Carolina), The Farms Golf Club in Ranch Santa Fe, CA (hosted by the University of San Diego), Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, CA (hosted by Stanford University), and Birk Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, IND (hosted by Purdue).
