UAPB Football Falls to Florida A&M

The Golden Lions secondary registered three interceptions, including two from Nathan Seward, but it was not enough as Florida A&M defeated the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff 27-6 on the road Saturday afternoon.

Daemon Dawkins reeled in eight catches for 95 yards.

Jamarian Henderson showed out for the Golden Lions defense, recording four tackles and a pick six for a 24 yards return touchdown. Seward added four tackles and two interceptions and Marc Flemming had three tackles, 1.0 TFL, one sack, one forced fumble, and one recovered fumble in the loss.

The Golden Lions won the turnover battle in Saturday’s game, forcing four turnovers while coughing the ball up one time, with UAPB turning those takeaways into six points.

UAPB defense disrupted the Florida A&M passing attack on the way to grabbing three interceptions.
