Two Jefferson County men were arrested Thursday on drug and weapons charges.

Markevius Blake, 22, of Pine Bluff and Kavreon McGown, 21, of Altheimer, were taken into custody after police vice and narcotics officers stopped the vehicle, they were in in the Dollarway area.

During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said Detective Richard McCorvy was on patrolling on South Richard Street looking for a green Altima that had paper tags and tinted windows that reportedly had multiple firearms in it.

Akel said after the vehicle was stopped, police searched it and she listed what they found.

Blake is currently out on bond on drug and weapons charges and because of that, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $100,000 cash only bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. A $100,000 secured bond was set for McGown on the same allegations and both men were told to court March 28.
