Star City man arrested on multiple felony charges

A Star City man has been arrested on multiple felony charges, according to a press release from the Deshea County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the release Investigator Alan Hernandez was working in the Dumas area on February 9th at 10:27 p.m. when he stopped a vehicle being driven by 39-year-old Mark McDaniel of Star City. Deputies Kerri Womack and Austin Freeman also assisted with the stop.

During the investigation, McDaniel was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine, and Drug Paraphernalia. It was also discovered that McDaniel had an active warrant from the Arkansas Board of Parole.

He was transported to the McGehee City Jail and booked for Possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

His bond was set at $25,000.
