Arrest made in shootout involving Police at Camelot Apartments in Pine Bluff

UPDATE:

Detectives have arrested 24-year-old, Quantarious Sission (pictured with mini afro and clean shaved face), for the attempted capital murder on a police officer. Sission was apprehended near the area of Camelot Apartments by Pine Bluff Police and assisting agencies, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police.

Sission will be booked in at Dub Brassell Detention Center for numerous charges:

-Attempted Capital Murder

-Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons

-Terroristic Act

-Engaging in a Violent Criminal Act

Detectives have also identified 26-year-old, Chaderious Avery (pictured with his hair twisted and beard), in connection with this incident. Avery is a black male, 5’11” in height, with brown eyes, and black hair. Avery’s last known address is 4001 Old Warren Road (Camelot Apartments #12). Avery should be considered ARMED and DANGEROUS!

Avery is wanted for numerous charges:

-Attempted Capital Murder

-Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons

-Terroristic Act

-Engaging in Violent Criminal Act

Detectives are still out investigating this incident and following up on every lead.

Update from PBPD at 5:29 pm

Gunshots in the area

On October 5, 2023, at approximately 4:22 P.M. there were reported gunshots in the parking lot of the Camelot Apartment (4001 Old Warren Road), where a Pine Bluff Police Officer’s patrol vehicle was struck while being occupied. The officer sustained minor injuries in this incident but was not shot.

This is an active investigation, and all leads are being pursued by detectives. No other information is available at this time.

Sources are telling Deltaplex News that there has been an Officer involved shooting at Camelot apartments. The officer has gone to Jefferson Regional.  Possibly over 100 shots fired and an officer was injured. All going on now.
We will have more information as we can get it.
