Former sitcom and movie star Robin Givens will be the speaker at the 169th UAPB Commencement ceremony next Saturday, May 11th at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Givens appeared in films and television shows such as “Head Of The Class”, Tyler Perry’s “The Family That Prays” and others during her four decade career. She recently directed an episode of the CBS show “So Help Me Todd” She published her autobiography “Grace Will Lead Me Home” in 2007. She served as a spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline for more than 20 years. Doors to the convention center will open at 7:30, with procession at 9:45 a.m., followed by the Commencement at 10 a.m. It will be livestreamed on the University’s Youtube channel.
