At a press conference last week, Pine Bluff Police laid out details of the 7 homicides that have occurred in the city since May that resulted in the deaths of juveniles 18 and under.
Also speaking at that press conference was Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter, who explained that there is a difference between the police making an arrest and the filing of formal charges.
Hunter said that formal charges have been filed against some of the suspects arrested and charges in other cases are pending. He said he could not talk a lot about those cases.
Hunter said those groups go by a lot of different names, like EBK, Murder Gang, MOB, Mo Money, Pop Up Gang and others.
He went on to describe the current situation as “horrible.”
