A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly assaulted two nurses at Jefferson Regional Hospital who were trying to treat her.

Jamie Paul, 29, was taken into custody after police were sent to West 28th Avenue and Camden Road following a report that there was a nude female in the middle of the roadway.

Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said police found the female, later identified as Paul running across the roadway to Clement Drive and reported that she appeared to be under the influence because she displayed increased energy and was pacing across the yard at #1 Clement Drive. Paul was asked if she lived there and she said no.

Detective Sgt. Ryan Moheb reported that he interviewed both victims who were registered nurses and when he attempted to question Paul, she asked for an attorney.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $5,000 bond for Paul Wednesday after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with second-degree battery and aggravated assault.

Paul was ordered to have no contact with the victims until the case is settled.
