Pine Bluff Police are waiting on results from the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to announce the cause of death of three people whose bodies were found in two separate vehicles Monday.

Appearing on Oldies 1013 Thursday, Police Chief Denise Richardson was asked about the discovery.

Bobby Lane Carter, 63, and Sarah Bray, 62, were found inside a car parked in front of the Emergency room Entrance of Jefferson Regional Hospital at 3:37 a.m.

About 6 hours later, at 9:11 a.m., police were sent to Popeye’s at 2700 S. Olive where the body of Bobby Swartz was found slumped to the side in a vehicle in the parking lot.

Richardson was asked if there was any relation between the three people or if the incidents were just random.

Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley pronounced all three victims dead at the scene.

Morning show host Greg Horne asked Richardson about fentanyl and how big a problem it was in Pine Bluff.
