“Making HERstory” Charity Basketball Game

The Youth Basketball League presents the “Making HERstory” charity basketball game.

The “Making HERstory” charity game was created to showcase phenomenal women in sports to inspire and motivate the young female athletes of Pine Bluff to reach their goals while climbing towards their future.

They will honor 8 extraordinary women from Pine Bluff or with Pine Bluff ties during the events, including a private banquet, performances by the “Super Stars” dance team, and DJ Joe Anderson. There will be 2 showcase girl’s games featuring TBK Team Kelso and GP2 Memphis along with others.

The YBL’s 2021 Pine Bluff Most Distinguished Women in Sports are:

Paulette Bell: Head Coach in girls’ basketball, track and volleyball, Maumelle Middle School
Betty Hayes Anthony: Senior Women’s Administrator, UAPB
Cheryl Hatley: Athletic Director, Pine Bluff School District
Leslie Henderson: Head Coach in girls’ basketball, Watson Chapel High School
Juliet Jackson: Arkansas Lady Razorback Hall of Famer
Pamela Smith: Chief of the United States Park Police
Yolett McPhee-McCuin: Head Coach in women’s basketball, The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss)
Johnnie Harris: Head Coach in women’s basketball, Auburn University
The “Making HERstory” charity basketball game will be Saturday, October 2nd, at the UAPB HPER Complex. The doors will open to the public at 5 p.m. Covid-19 safety protocols will be observed including the requiring of mask.
