LaTonya Ryles from the PBSD and Kerry McNeal from the WCSD joined the Morning Show on 101.3 to talk about parent involvement

This week is parenting week and the importance of parents getting involved in the education of their children was a topic on the Oldies 1013 morning show Tuesday.

LaTonya Ryles from the Pine Bluff School District and Kerry McNeal from the Watson Chapel School District joined Greg and Will to talk about parental involvement. Ryles was asked what parents should be doing to help their kids in school.

Morning show host Greg Horne said Pine Bluff School District Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree has stressed that an uptick in reading is the basis for being successful and Ryles responded this way.

McNeal was asked what other things should parents be doing to help their kids.

Horne also asked what the level of parental involvement in the schools is and McNeal responded this way.
