A Pine Bluff man currently on parole in Johnson County was arrested Monday night after he was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend.

Henry Silva, 30, was taken into custody after police found him in a wooded area near the scene of the incident.

During a court hearing Thursday, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 6:11 p.m., police were sent to a residence on Nell Drive after a report of a domestic disturbance involving a female who said she had gotten into an altercation with her boyfriend Silva.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $20,000 bond for Silva after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault on a family or household member. He was told to have no contact with the victim and to come back to court June 7.
