A Redfield man previously convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery was arrested Thursday after he allegedly hit his wife during an altercation.

Scott Mabry, 41, was taken into custody after sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance.

During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel read from an affidavit by Investigator Rodney Allen to explain the allegation.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for Mabry after ruling Prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with second offense third-degree domestic battery. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court June 10.
