Deltaplex Radio’s KTRN tower site and transmitter building took a direct hit by lightening during storms late last week.  The radio stations transmitter building was without power for over 3 days while Entergy worked to restore power to the building.  Once power was recovered on site, Deltaplex Radio was able to access the full nature of the direct hit.   Deltaplex Radio General Manager, Greg Horne said “our transmitter was completely destroyed and a tower crew is on site today to access damage to the antenna.  We are working with our manufacturer, tower crew, outside engineers, and electricians to get K-Train back on the air as soon as possible.  We should have a better idea of the timing later today.  Listeners can still get K Train by going to deltaplexnews.com and clicking the Listen Live link for 104.5 K-Train at the top of the page.  Please know we are working full time to get back up ASAP.  You can always get all the local news, weather, sports, and community news for the Delta and southeast Arkansas from one of our other 3 radio stations based here in Jefferson County, 98.1 The Hog, 99.3 The Beat and Oldies 101.3.  We will keep everyone informed of the process and time table as we know more”
