A $100,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Rison man accused of stealing items from the construction site of the new Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital at White Hall in December.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Terry Davis, 25, with commercial burglary, breaking or entering and theft of property.

Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Investigator Sgt. Clayton Cantrell, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said on Dec. 27, White Hall Police were sent to the construction site at 1500 Holland Ave. in response to the reported theft of a UTV, copper wire and thousands of dollars’ worth of tools.

A construction supervisor told police the site had been shut down between. 22 and Dec. 27.

McGriff said police determined that the driver of the Ford F-150 had been Christopher Mercer.

McGriff said Davis was located at a house in Pine Bluff and police found two loaded firearms and a white powder determined to be methamphetamine that weighed 56 grams.

She said Davis is currently out on bond on two felony allegations and prosecutors will revoke those two bonds.

A second suspect, Dallas Lemons, 26, will be seen later today. Davis was told to come back to court Feb. 5.
