A 71-year-old Altheimer man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly threatened two people in a store at Altheimer.

When he was questioned, Artemus Gray admitted being in an altercation but denied making threats to the victims.

During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King said sheriff’s deputies were sent to 13512 Highway 79North in reference to a reported disturbance. He said deputies could not find the address but spoke to the victim by phone.

King said Gray had an extensive criminal history with multiple felony convictions.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $30,000 bond for Gray after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with terroristic threatening. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims until the case is settled.
