CEO of GFPB Ryan Watley encourages voters to go vote for the sales taxes

Early voting to extend the five-eights cent Go Forward sales tax for another seven years and to approve a three-eights cent sales tax devoted to public safety wrapped up Monday and according to figures from the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office, about 1,600 people cast votes early.

That number is significantly higher that the 623 people who cast votes early with the taxes were on the ballot earlier this year.

Ryan Watley, the CEO of Go Forward Pine Bluff was a guest on the Oldies 1013 morning show Tuesday where he commented on a statement that voting on the issues was about “progressing or regressing.”

The polls will be open until 7:30 p.m. today and Watley was asked what he wanted voters to think about when they go out to vote.
