Former Watson Chapel star Tink Hence turned in another dominant performance last night, as the Springfield Cardinals beat the Tulsa Drillers 6-2 at OneOk Field. The Cardinals raised their league leading record to 15-7 by scoring 4 runs in the top of the 5th to take a 5-1 lead and Hence took care of the rest. He gave up only one run and two hits through seven strong innings while striking out 10 and giving up only two walks to raise this record to 3-0. He dropped his league leading ERA to 2.10. Hence will return to pitch in the Natural State next week when the Cardinals travel to Springdale to take on the NWA Naturals. He could pitch in a day game next Tuesday.
