A $10,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of pointing a gun at a woman and threatening to kill her.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Marlin Scott, 26, with aggravated assault and terroristic threatening.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on June 10, police were sent to the Maple Street Apartments in response to a reported armed disturbance.

When Scott was questioned, he admitted getting into a verbal altercation with the victim over an insurance claim and having the gun but denied pointing it at the victim or threatening her.

Scott was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court on July 28.
