A $75,000 bond was set Monday for a Warren man, currently on parole, on drug related charges.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Mark Womble, 51, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said Womble was arrested by White Hall Police at about 3 a.m. Friday, then read from an affidavit by White Hall Police Sgt. Clayton Cantrell.

Alexander said Womble has multiple prior convictions for drug related offenses, battery, sexual assault for which he is on parole, is a registered sex offender and has been the subject of orders of protection.

He was told to come back to court Jan. 4.
