A reported fight at a house on West 8th Avenue Tuesday morning resulted in the arrest of one of the men on a felony allegation.

Kyle Piggee, 31, allegedly hit his father-in-law, who is over the age of 60, Detective Sgt. Chris Wieland said in a probable cause affidavit presented in district court Thursday.

Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said police were sent Tuesday morning, police responded to a reported fight involving two men and Officer Ryan Edwards reported that when he arrived he saw Piggee hit the victim, who is Piggee’s father-in-law.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $5,000 bond for Piggee after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with second-degree domestic battery. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court March 14.
