A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of stealing a wallet on Monday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge May Mays, 54, with theft of property.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Chris Wieland, Deput Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 2:51 p.m. police were sent to Super 1 on Camden Road in response to a report of a stolen wallet.

Akel said Mays has no prior convictions or pending charges and she was told to come back to court May 7.
