A $5,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly fired a shot inside a house Saturday night.

Jefferson Count District judges Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Wyking Davis, 27, with aggravated assault on a family or household member.

Davis was taken into custody after police were sent to 2406 S. Hickory St. in response to a reported armed disturbance.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Karres Manning explained the allegation against Davis.

Manning said police recovered a Taurus handgun and a spent shell casing at the residence.

Davis was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court April 8.
