A $50,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Stuttgart man currently on parole who allegedly stabbed a relative Saturday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Travonte Cole, 23, with second-degree battery.

Reading from an affidavit by Sheriff’s Investigator Rodney Allen, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel told the court what Cole was accused of doing.

Cole was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to Court April 16.

In addition to the current allegation, Cole will be held by the Arkansas Parole and Probation Office on a warrant alleging he violated conditions of his parole and will be given a hearing on that allegation.
