A $50,000 bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff man currently on parole who allegedly kicked in the front door of a house where his estranged wife lived.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Robert Fletcher, 43, with aggravated residential burglary.

Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said White Hall Police were sent to a residence on Timber Lane Tuesday afternoon.

Fletcher was located at a house in Pine Bluff later that day but he was not interviewed because he was under the influence of narcotics. On Wednesday police tried to interview him but he asked for an attorney and the attempt was halted.

West said Fletcher has multiple prior felony convictions on drug related charges. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court May 8.
