A $50,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of breaking into a house Thursday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Rashaud Scott, 23, with aggravated residential burglary.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Dante Nicholson, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 5:54 p.m., police were sent to a house on South Holly Street in response to a report that a burglary had just occurred.

Akel said Scott has no prior convictions or pending charges. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court May 9.
