A $25,000 bond was set Thursday for a White Hall man accused of damaging a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department vehicle by hitting it with a brick.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jason Bowers, 41, with first-degree criminal mischief.

Reading from an affidavit from Sheriff’s Office Investigator Rodney Allen, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel explained the allegation against Bowes.

Akel said Bowers has multiple prior felony convictions including four for failure to register, three for possession of a controlled substance and one for criminal mischief.

Bowers was told to come back to court April 25.
